Please reach us at sehas2018@sasktel.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We support individuals and families that are living in the towns of Moosomin, Wapella, Fleming and Welwyn. You will be asked to provide identification to show that you live in the area supported by our food share.
If you are unsure whether you are in an area that is supported by us, please reach out to us at 1-306-435-2633 and we can direct you to other resources if you are outside of our area.
The food share provides a variety of non-perishable food items such as soups, pasta, sauces, cereal, canned meat, vegetables and fruit, crackers, peanut butter, coffee, toilet paper, etc. In every monthly hamper we also give out milk, bread and eggs as well as produce, meat or dairy, depending on the month. The amount you receive is dependent on the size of the family receiving support and the resources we have available.
We provide support as needed. If you don't need a monthly hamper, we can give you an emergency hamper. This may be a one time hamper or become regularly as the need continues. If you require more support, please see the Get Help page for more information.
We understand you're facing hard times and you may need extra. If you are in need of help, please reach out to us at 306-435-2633 and we will see what we can do. Please note that milk, bread, eggs, produce, dairy and meat are only provided once per month.
Donations of any kind can be dropped off at the Moosomin Thrift Store. If you have a larger donation, please contact us to arrange a time for drop off to make sure we can accommodate it.
The money that is donated to the food share goes directly into the food share account. We have two separate accounts for the thrift store and the food share. When you donate to the food share, the funds go towards buying groceries to the food share. We buy all of our groceries locally at either Borderland CO-OP or Moosomin Fine Foods. Our meat we purchase directly from local farmers.
If you are requiring any document that is subject to those above or something else entirely, please visit us in person at 609 Gordon Street and ask for Samantha Campbell. You may also email us at sehas2018@sasktel.net or give us a call at 306-435-2633 and Samantha would be happy to forward those onto you!
